Senior Care Practitioners

We are currently looking to recruit two Senior Care Practitioners to join our Team at Ty Llandaff.

The role will be to take charge of the shift and guide staff to deliver excellent personal care to the residents' daily needs. Senior Care Practitioners will also administer medicines, and undertake the re-ordering on a monthly basis, as required in accordance with policies and procedures, as well as assisting in building relationships between staff and residents.  

The successful applicant will also be expected to develop person centred care plans, complete and up to date assessments, review the Care plans monthly and organise and hold reviews with the residents or family members. 

A level 3 QCF in Care is necessary for this post, and a satisfactory Police Check and DBS check also applies. In addition, previous supervisory experience working within an elderly care environment would be advantageous.

The positions are for as follows: 38.5 hours per week day shift; 33 hours per week night shift. Both positions include a competitive rate of pay.

Housekeepers

We are currently looking to recruit two Housekeepers to join our Team at Ty Llandaff.

Successful candidates will work as part of a team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the Care Home, whilst ensuring a safe, comfortable environment at all times.

Applicants should be team players, with good communication skills, verbal and written. Experience working with the elderly would be advantageous but is not essential for this role. Satisfactory Police Check and DBS check apply to this post.

The positions are for as follows: 9am - 4pm, 4 days per week; 9am - 4pm, 3 days per week. Both positions will include alternate weekends and a competitive rate of pay.

Host/ Hostess  

We have two positions available for Hosts or Hostesses, one 30-hour contract and one 16-hour weekend contract. 

Your duties will include ensuring hostess trollies are fully stocked prior to serving of snacks and meals, ensuring kitchenette areas are fully stocked and clean, assist in clearing tables and the kitchen when required. You will also be required to check on consumables held within kitchenette areas and serve teas and coffees to residents in the morning and afternoon throughout the Home.

Communication skills are essential for this role as you will be working with our residents at all times, you will play an important part of making sure they feel welcome and at home with us. A Basic Food Hygiene certificate is required for this role and you'll have great communication and team skills, too. The ability to work on own initiative is also essential. Satisfactory Police Check and DBS/CRB checks apply to this role.

Experience in food preparation for elderly clients would be beneficial but not essential as training will be given to the right candidates.

Registered/Enrolled Nurses 

We are currently looking for Registered/Enrolled Nurses to join our Team at Ty Llandaff.

Successful candidates will have good communication skills, be able to undertake all appropriate aspects of nursing care required, and importantly - be motivated to offer the highest standards of care. Your responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for specified residents to ensure continuity of care, and to take management responsibility for a shift as directed. 

All applicants must be qualified RGN / RMN and will have a genuine interest in working with the elderly. Exemplary communication skills are essential and applicants must be able to communicate on a variety of levels in fluent English. Current NMC Registration is necessary and DBS/CRB checks also apply to this role.

Experience in care for the elderly and previous supervisory experience would be advantageous for this role but is not essential.

This position is for 33 hours of day-time shifts, with excellent rates of pay and the opportunity to receive a quarterly bonus and a first-class working environment provided with a motivated and enthusiastic team.

Carers

We are currently looking for Carers to join our Team at Ty Llandaff.

The role involves providing quality care for their elderly residents, and ensuring that they retain their dignity and individuality. You’ll also be involved in the general activities of the home, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, staff members and visitors.

Applicants will have a genuine interest in working with elderly residents within a caring environment and be willing to participate in vocational training programmes. Applicants should be able to communicate effectively at all levels and be comfortable working in a team.

A QCF/NVQ in Care is not necessary for this post but a willingness to take part in vocational training is required. A qualification in the Safe Handling of Medicines would be advantageous for this role but is not essential, satisfactory police check and DBS check applies.
