What is Dementia Care?

Dementia is a progressive condition that affects the brain in many ways, and there are many forms of dementia and stages of dementia. It is estimated that about 850,000 people have dementia in the UK. It most commonly impacts mental functions such as communication, cognitive thinking, memory and rationality. It’s important that when someone is showing signs of dementia, they get the specialist care they deserve to ensure they can continue to live a fulfilling life, and to take the strain off of loved ones.

With the right level of person centred care and support for a professional care team within a safe environment, people those with dementia can continue to carry on doing the activities they enjoy, and live their lives to the fullest. The goal is to support residents living with dementia while always encouraging self-sufficiency where appropriate so that they can sustain this for a long as possible.

Supporting You at Every Stage

Searching for a nursing home on behalf of a loved one is not always a simple process, as it’s important to find the right home that meets individual needs and also suits a person’s lifestyle. We offer our support by inviting you into our home to discuss the needs of prospective residents with their family members and recommend the best care approach in order to ensure everyone has peace of mind and knows exactly what to expect going forward.

We are proud to be regulated by the Care Inspectorate Wales which is an independent body that inspects and assesses health and social care services in Wales. The Care |nspectorate ensures that residential care homes and nursing homes meet a high standard of care and they will take action if the improvement of social services is required.
