Our Nursing Care in Cardiff 

Tŷ Llandaff Care Home is pleased to offer 24-hour Nursing Care, delivering professional, and compassionate support to residents with physical disabilities, long-term illnesses, complex medical conditions and those who need palliative care. Our experienced team of nurses is on hand to provide residents assistance for all individual needs, whether the level of nursing care and assistance required is minimal, or more intensive support is needed throughout the day and night, all nursing care delivered at our nursing home is in accordance to the individual’s specific needs and abilities.

Our Respite Care in Cardiff 

Respite Care is a short-term care option available to those who may be recuperating from a short stint in hospital, recovering from an illness or giving caregivers a break by taking over their daily care responsibilities for a period of time. Our Respite Care is entirely tailored to residents’ life and personal and social care needs, and our experienced and highly skilled nurses are available around the clock to meet all of those needs. Many of our residents who stay with us for a trial period enjoy their stay so much that they decide to remain at our care home after their recovery.

Visiting is made easier with excellent transport links. Cardiff has multiple bus routes serving Pontcanna and the Llandaff area, local stops are just walking distance from the home. The nearest railway station is Cardiff Central, which connects to major cities across the UK. From there, a short taxi or bus journey brings you to Pontcanna. On-site and on-street parking is available around our property (subject to local restrictions) and we’re happy to help suggest best arrival routes.

We want visiting your loved ones to be as simple and stress-free as possible. Whether you’re travelling by car, train or bus, Ty Llandaff is easy to reach and well-connected to nearby towns and cities. Below, you’ll find clear directions and local transport options to help you plan your journey.

Tŷ Llandaff Care Home is located at Conway Road, Cardiff, CF11 9NT. From central Cardiff, you can reach us via the A4161 or A470, heading into the Pontcanna / Llandaff area. If coming from the M4, take junctions toward Cardiff city centre and follow signs for Pontcanna. Visitor parking is available on-site and on the street outside the home. We can help advise on the best drop-off point on arrival.

The nearest major station is Cardiff Central, which has frequent services from across Wales and England. From there, you can take a short taxi ride or use local bus services toward Pontcanna. Trams or buses from Central will take you into the heart of Cardiff, then onward toward Conway Road in Pontcanna.

Cardiff’s local bus network has multiple routes that serve the Pontcanna / Llandaff area. For example, buses running along Cathedral Road or Gabalfa Road often continue into Pontcanna. dropping off near Llandaff Road or Crwys Road will put you within walking distance of Conway Road. Be sure to check the latest timetables and route changes via Cardiff Bus or Traveline Cymru.

Our home prioritises accessibility for visitors with mobility needs. The main entrance is step-free, with level thresholds. Inside, wide corridors and lifts provide access to all floors. If you require any assistance carrying items, wheelchair access or help from a vehicle to the entrance, please let us know ahead of your visit. We’ll be glad to accommodate to ensure your journey is as smooth as possible.
