Our Royal Wedding

Our residents had front-row seats at their own mock wedding to celebrate the Royal marriage last weekend.
Our care team brought the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to life for the residents by staging a fictitious ceremony in one of our lounges.
The bride, our Senior Carer Jo Western, was walked down the aisle by two of our gentlemen residents, Norman Bennett and Daniel Rosewell.
The groom was played by one of our Carers, Jason Howells. In an amusing twist, the entertaining Maintenance Support Manager, Ralph Evans, unleashed his feminine side to play the chief bridesmaid.
Our guest singer, Jackie Webbe, added a sense of occasion to the day with a beautiful selection of songs.
Although our wedding did not have quite the media attention of Prince Harry and Meghan's, we had TV cameras in filming the event and it was later shown on ITV Wales.
Following the ceremony, our residents were treated to a range of delicacies and a slice of the wedding cake made by our Head Chef, Barry White, and his team.
Our Home Manager, Janice Evans said: "There was so much excitement in the home about the Royal wedding, so we thought it would be lovely for the residents to have a little pre-wedding event."
"Everyone was delighted to have the chance to be so closely involved, remember their own weddings, anticipate the Royal wedding, and also have a bit of a giggle at the same time."
"We were delighted to welcome our guest singer Jackie Webb whose songs just added the perfect touch. There was a real buzz around the home about the event and the residents had a great time."
